Orioles tap Samuel, 5th Dominican to head a MLB team

The Baltimore Orioles fired the manager Dave Trembley and replaced temporarily with Dominican-born coach Juan Samuel, who will make his debut today Friday in the opener of a series against the Boston Red Sox.
Red Sox president Andy MacPhail made the announcement in a statement, after ESPN Magazine reporter Buster Olney had revealed on Thursday that the measure was inevitable for the Orioles.
Samuel’s designation is temporary while the club picks a definitive manager, and becomes the 5th Dominican to skipper a Major League Baseball team.
